PFC Everett E. Davies was declared officially dead. He was declared Missing in Korea April 21, 1951. He is survived by his father, Clifton C. Davies of Roachdale, a brother Roland of Bainbridge, three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Duncan of Ladoga, Mrs. Roseland Duncan of Roachdale and Mrs. Virginia Wagner of Boston, Ind

Pvt. Everett E. Davies' body will arrive in Roachdale Saturday. He was killed in Korea April 21, 1951. He was born March 29, 1928 in Raccoon, the son of Clifton and Pearl VanHook Davies. Survivors are his father and step mother; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Duncan, Mrs. Roseland Duncan both of Roachdale; Mrs. Virginia Wagoner of Boston, Indiana; one brother Roland of Bainbridge. His mother preceded him in death in 1938. Burial in Brick Chapel Cemetery.

“Fincastle News brief” – Mr. and Mrs. Lester Zachary attended the funeral of Pvt. Everett Davies who was killed in Korea. The funeral was held in Roachdale Monday afternoon with burial in Brick Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Earl Duncan of Raccoon received a telegram Saturday from the War Department stating that her brother, Pvt Everett Davies had been reported missing in Action in Korea since April 26. The last word the family had from him was that he was on the front lines. Pvt. Davies is the son of Carroll Davies of Raccoon. – kbz
